Hudson River Access Plan

Hudson Valley, NY (2023)

Byer Planning was part of a consultant team working with Scenic Hudson to develop the Hudson River Access Plan. This plan takes a deep dive into the opportunities and challenges to public access along 285 miles of the Hudson River shoreline. This plan included the important GIS task of inventorying all of the study area’s assets and major features to identify public needs related to river access. As the GIS Manager and Cartographer, Laura collected and managed all GIS data for the project which included a wide range of spatial data related to community assets as well as opportunities and barriers to river access. Laura developed all maps throughout the project timeline, often developing report and online maps as needed.
